We Are Gamers

In 2014 GAME were struggling to position their company and were unable to compete on price. 

They needed a campaign idea that would be more than just a tag line.

 

Our strategy was to position GAME as the only gaming retail experts in the UK. "We Are Gamers" became their company mantra and we set about creating a campaign that would talk to and engage with the gamer audience.

In 2014 and 2015 as part of our Christmas campaign we created a shopper simulator game to connect with the gaming community. As they wern't watching TV giving them a game to play seemed like the obvious way to reach them.

The game mocked the Christmas season and took advantage of the current trend of hilarious and intentionally glitchy games like Goat Simulator. GAME launched their sim by streaming it live on Twitch and soon had players uploading videos of themselves enjoying the game to YouTube. To date, there's been over a million game downloads and 36 million YouTube views.
